Comments: The White Sox came into the game with a 5 game win streak to face the usually indomitable White Sox killer: the Cleveland ace, C. C. Sabathia. Yes, an unstoppable force against an immovable object, something has to give. The Sox showed their offensive power early in the game, with Carlos Quentin and Jim Thome taking the lead with solo home runs in the first and second innings. Contreras was brilliant and the Sox sealed another win to take the streak to 6.
My heart and soul are at US Cellular. Say what you will of its concrete exterior, the field is beautiful and the fans, though there may be less of them than at another north-s
ide team that shall remain nameless, have heart. A smile creeps onto my face as I helplessly succumb to the warmth that comes with being in the stadium where you belong. The place has great food (the polish with grilled onions), a great atmosphere (complete with margarita-backpack-guy), and the greatest TV commentator duo (Hawk and DJ). I also love how when you watch a game at "The Cell" on TV, they can never edit out the Sox fans and the off color remarks they so caustically yell at the batters.

I love the White Sox, and I love US Cellular Field. Thanks to Ziggy for scoring those awesome seats on the 100 level. It really made the game special for me. Thanks to Stephanie for coming, I really wanted/needed to see you after such a long time. You're a brilliant person and I've always been in awe of you for knowing and being interested in so much. You've gone through a lot, and I haven't been able to be there with you through all of it, but I think of you often and hope the best for you.
