My first game! My friend Dan showed me the ropes on the scorecard. The game was a blow out and the Rockies pitcher, De la Rosa pitched an awesome game, striking out 5 and allowing only 2 earned runs.

Denver is truly a gem. A gorgeous city with great weather, and nestled in the foothills of the rockies. The view from the stadium was not as great as I expected it to be, but when the sun came out in the 5th inning, it was certainly a wonderful feeling.

The mountains have an immense and peaceful quality about them. And although they're mainly to the west, you can feel its closeness. I am really glad I took a day to hang out in Denver and watch the game. The next couple of days are going to be "get-up-and-go" leaving every morning for another destination. The weather was beautiful, and it was great to catch up with an old friend.
